universal joint coupling
Some Terminology, You Have To Know Jun 10, 2021
Everything has its industry-specific terminology. Of course, coupling as a component of a machine ,also has professional terms.

Here we will explain its the terminology.

◆ Rated torque: refers to the torque capacity that the coupling can continuously transmit. The variable load factor during operation has been taken into account, so there is no need to adjust the rated torque again. Please choose the coupling with a rated torque that is higher than the continuous operating load torque.

◆ Maximum torque: refers to the maximum torque capacity that the coupling start momentary, also called peak torque, which is double of the rated torque in principle

maximum swinging number:refers to the coupling maximum swinging number. When rotating at high speeds, pay attention to vibration caused by imbalance

◆ Inertia moment: refers to the difficulty of coupling rotation. The smaller the inertia moment, the smaller the load torque when starting and stopping.

◆ Static torsional rigidity: refers to the rigidity of the coupling against torsion. The greater the static torsional rigidity, the higher the responsiveness of the product.

◆ Gap value: refers to the gap amount of the coupling in the direction of rotation. If it is used for high-precision positioning devices, please choose a coupling with zero backlash.

◆ Applicable temperature: refers to the temperature range where the coupling can work ordinary.

◆ Deviation adjustment: refers to the position accuracy error of the shaft center, which can be divided into three types: eccentricity, deflection angle, and axial deviation.

◆ Deviation adjustment: refers to the position accuracy error of the shaft center, which can be divided into three types: eccentricity, deflection angle, and axial deviation.

◆ Eccentric reaction force: refers to the force generated by the eccentric error during assembly. The smaller the eccentric reaction force is, the smaller the bearing force is.

◆ Axial reaction force: refers to the force generated when the coupling i
